Mr. Sims (Image 1)
Around the 1850's, the first gynecologist Mr. Sims was using female slaves, usually owned by rich males as experimental bodies. He was experimenting on them without anaesthesia in order to find new surgery techniques and to invent tools such as the famous speculum.
Femme fatale (Image 2)
During the 17th Century both the law and the scientists assumed that African-American women were less-than-human property and their rape from the white males was an accepted practice. Being accused as animalistically over-sexualised, this belief continued until the 20th century.
Comfort women (Image 3)
During the WW2 the Comfort women were the 200.000 victims from China, Japan and other countries that were used as sex slaves for the soldiers. For many years this incident was hidden because that action was considered as endorsement and support of the male fighters
